Last Book

Well I haven't quite finished my last book ( I have about 20 more pages that I will read tonite) but I will blog about it now. My last book was Of Mice and Men by Steinbeck. So far it is okay. There are not many exciting events going on. The book is very descriptive and the use of imagery is strong. I think I am going to write my paper on how well you can picture everything because of the wording in the book.

a new kind of reading

I am reading my play right now, which is Our Town by Thornton Wilder, and I really like the way plays are written. They are very easy to follow along with because they like give you the scene and how it is set up then they give you the dialouge without all the added wording. I am not far into the play yet so I don't really know what is going to happen or the main plot of it or if there even is one.

Another bites the dust

I finished Tess of the d'Urbervilles by Thomas Hardy recently. It was super good but super long too. It really related to things today which is what I plan to write my paper on. In the book the poor girl just can't have anything go her way. It is also a very good representation of the saying "it's a small world". It seems when ever something happens it goes back to something else or someone else. I would definitly recommend this book to someone if you have a few weeks to read it because it is seriously like 550 pages. I believe it is the longest book I have ever read but also one of the best.
